The SMCWTVG integrates the function of a wireless gateway and a VoIP ATA (Analog Telephone Adapter) into a compact device. The SMCWTVG is a high speed broadband router that is capable of delivering Internet access to several users via Network Address Translation (NAT). The wireless feature can be used in three different operating modes: it can function as an 802.11b/g access point providing service to wireless clients, a wireless client itself, and as a wireless repeater. All these features combined make this the perfect accessory for any corporate or business traveler. Advanced WPA2 and WEP encryption protects a users privacy when using public hotspot networks or in a hotel environment. For VoIP users the SMCWTVG provides the option to connect an analog phone into the FXS interface for lower cost telephone calls. With the built-in FXO port users have the ability to place or receive calls via the traditional phone provider without difficulties.
